Dr. Fang earned her master’s degree and medical degree from the University of California Davis, where she also completed her ophthalmology residency. She completed her fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah, where she also had the honor of completing a second fellowship in global ophthalmology outreach. She has had the privilege of teaching, mentoring, and providing much-needed eye care in underserved areas in the US such as the Navajo Nation, as well as around the world – in Mexico, Honduras, Haiti, Trinidad, Peru, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, India, Nepal, Myanmar, and the Federated States of Micronesia.
Before medical school, Dr. Fang obtained her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at the University of Southern California and spent six years working on innovative medical technologies including microsurgical instrumentation, the Argus II retinal prosthesis, and stem cell engineering.
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Fang is excited to be returning home to join the wonderful team of Child Eye Care Associates and helping provide eye care for the community. As a board-certified ophthalmologist, she enjoys taking care of children with vision-threatening conditions like amblyopia, cataracts, and glaucoma as well as children and adults with strabismus. When not working, she loves to spend her time hiking the beautiful pacific northwest, trying out new foods and cooking techniques, and travelling around the world with her husband.
